WHY DO WE CELEBRATE THE DIALOGUE WITH CREATION PARTNERS WEEK?
Working Together in the spirit of Solidarity to Protect Our Common Home
What will the future of the world be? This question is expressed in many ways and through different initiatives. There are local, national, and international initiatives that address this issue. Observing climate change today many ask: ” What will be the future?”
In recent times we have given our attention to the issue related to the relation among people of different religions and cultures, especially in this time of faster communication among peoples of different parts of the world and the awareness of the respect and dignity of each human person. The interreligious dialogue is becoming a sign of the times. Still, with the emerging situation of climate change, we are invited to see how we can meet together as people of different religions and cultures and at the same time be united to reflect and act not only on dialogue among peoples and religions but together to be in dialogue with creation to answer to the emergency that is becoming more visible. Thus, the dialogue with creation is not only an issue to face, but a reality that we have to address and do together as people of different cultures and religions. This is a new sign of the times.
Yes, today we cannot separate the dialogue among religions and cultures from the dialogue of all of us with Mother Earth, our common home.
With this spirit, the different groups of UNI HARMONY PARTNERS of the Philippines on April 2023 in Zamboanga during the second national convention have proposed the new initiative called DIALOGUE WITH CREATION PARTNERS WEEK, to be celebrated on the national level the first week of October (OCTOBER 1-7) inviting all to express their concern in different ways and with different initiatives.
The objectives are:
- To raise awareness about the emergency condition of Mother Earth.
- To organize activities as expressions of solidarity and dialogue with creation.
- To foster friendship between and among the interfaith communities for the care of our common home.
The challenge is to be creative and to express the interest in celebrating the Dialogue with Creation Partners Week in a variety of ways. We are putting on the website, www.harmonylink.info some suggestions and programs starting from Zamboanga City. In this connection, we have done a two-day gathering with all the Peace Link Moderators of the DepEd schools of Zamboanga City.
Indeed, we have to be together for this mission of dialogue with creation. On our part, we continue to recognize any good effort made by different groups to inspire others to join us in this new mission that goes beyond the limits of religions and cultures.
Share your initiatives and we will post on our website and social media to inspire others. In all this effort we have to start from the “ecology of the heart”. It means the good intention to serve God and humanity for the common good.
