What have you done to Mother Earth?

“WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?”

This question can be considered the voice of God to humanity today because we are “killing mother earth.”

“WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?” is a question from the Holy Bible (Gen. 4, 10). It is the voice of God to Cain who had killed his brother Abel (see the story of Cain and Abel in the Genesis, Holy Bible, Chapter 4). We find a similar message in the Holy Qur’an (Surah 5, 30-34) referring to the two brothers, Cain and Abel.

“WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?” Today, is a voice addressed to us, humanity, for gradually killing mother earth”. Many are answering like Cain: “Am I my brother’s keeper?”. What about us?

The Silsilah Dialogue Movement since 1984 has presented the “Dialogue with Creation” as one of the four pillars of the Culture of Dialogue. The other three pillars are the dialogue with God, the dialogue with the Self and dialogue with Others. Guided by this mission Silsilah, in more recent times, has started the Dialogue with Creation Partners Movement (DCPM) as an interfaith movement and a voice of many individuals and groups who see the urgent need to care for the Earth, “Our common Home”. The partners are individuals and groups willing to share their good stories related to “Dialogue with Creation” with other partners to inspire and help each other with the freedom and responsibility to continue, in his own way, this mission with Sincerity, Sensitivity and Solidarity (SSS).

The objectives are:

• To share the spirit of the Culture of Dialogue Partners Movement (DCPM) and invite individuals and groups who are already living and acting with the same spirit of caring for the “Mother Earth” with Sincerity, Sensitivity and Solidarity (SSS). • To be part of this new “Forum/Movement” of individuals and groups to share and inspire each other maintaining their own identity and activities, in helping others to follow their example in the spirit of friendship with other partners. • To promote the rights of nature as a basic right that needs to be voiced in our society today. Each partner can choose to be a witness partner by example and freely participate to concrete actions and formations in promoting the common good of people in our COMMON HOME, the Mother Earth.

These objectives have the goal to give special attention to the spiritual, moral and social care for the CREATION of God as part of our mission to promote dialogue and peace among cultures and religions.

The Dialogue with Creation partners Movement is composed of the;
Regular Partners are Individuals and groups of civic society, religious groups and educational institutions already doing any program or activity in the same spirit of the DCPM in their own way and responsibility and are willing to share their own experience in the DCPM and, in the process, to learn and be inspired by other partners.

The Associate Partners are Individuals who represent any local, national or international structure of government or agency willing to share their skills and support the DCPM in all possible ways, especially as experts and resource persons.

Partners Organization. The Dialogue with Creation Partners Movement (DCPM) is a movement inside the Silsilah Dialogue Movement / Silsilah Foundation Inc.
Partners, Individuals and groups are invited to help according to their skill and time. Gradually, other partners will be invited to share, on voluntary basis, the leadership and responsibilities of Dialogue with Creation Partners Movement.

Along the years, Silsilah has gained more experience inviting partners to protect the Zamboanga Watersheds and fight against mining corporations in the area. There is a lot to be done and we are happy that we have re-launched this Dialogue with Creation Partners Movement (DCPM) during the celebration of the World Interfaith Harmony Week, last February 5, 2019 with respected leaders who have proven their commitment to promote Dialogue with Creation in their own areas and expertise.

Meanwhile we are committed to this specific mission to promote Dialogue with Creation with all our partners who we wish to remind that one of the urgent needs today is to start from the “Ecology of the Heart” that can help to clean our society of all forms of violence.
