A Voice on the Road

The Voice

Entering the New Year 2021, we see that this year will be full of surprises. There are those who believe that COVID19 will be controlled with the vaccines and those who already see new signs of fear with new forms of virus and especially a more alarming signs of climate change and political instability in different parts of the world.

With all these alarming situations are also emerging signs of hope among those who believe that this is also a challenging time where we are called to listen more the voice of God and it includes the need of better relation among peoples of different cultures and religions.

Indeed, we are entering in a “New Normal” that will be a “New Voice” for humanity.

Many today try to be more creative in business, communication and other fields. What is emerging very clearly is the great importance of the online communication that hopefully will be not an empty “box of words and images”, but a new sign of hope.

In this line, our initiative of “The Voice” is emerging online.

What is it?

  • It is a new initiative of the Emmaus Dialogue Movement with the Emmaus College of Theology from  Harmony Village, Zamboanga City, (Mindanao)
  • It is a new way to reach out many willing to follow THE VOICE in this “NEW NORMAL” and help many as spiritual companion on the road of our life today.
  • It is a service and mission done by a team of volunteers willing to guide, listen and accompany those who “LINK” to this “VOICE” via Facebook. (https://www.facebook.com/The-Voice-of-Emmaus-101828981909867)
  • It is not a group sharing or chat, but a personalized communication that remains private. Please write us in English, Tagalog or Italian.
  • THE VOICE will also listen to your requests of prayers, accompanying you to appreciate natural and holistic way to health and guiding you to visit links that you can find in google.
  • You are invited to share this initiative with others and promote this page.

These few points, tell us that it is a new creative way coming from the Emmaus Dialogue Movement that is preparing new generation of Catholics and including the Emmaus College of Theology offering Bachelor of Science in Theology, Major in Interreligious Dialogue (see more, http://emmauscollegeoftheology.com/) This initiative is not directly part of the Silsilah Dialogue Movement. It is directly promoted by Emmaus, but with the same spirit of Silsilah for the formation of Christians to develop a better relation with people of other cultures and religions.

At the same time, Silsilah is encouraging a similar commitment among the Muslims called, “Jamaa’ah Dialogue Movement”. This is an emerging movement part of Silsilah in the stage of formation and it will be presented properly in due time.

“The Voice” is part of a new initiative called, “A Voice on the Road” that started on January 20, 2021. Basically, it is a daily reflection of Fr. Sebastiano D’Ambra, PIME, the founder of Silsilah presenting the reflection on the Gospel of the day online at 6:30AM. This initiative will start with a morning praying taken from the “Seven Daily Prayers” (See the link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1q6ZSRcD82_gimoUyCK6JlD-Ph1MJ9lL7/view?usp=sharing) and will end with a short comment taken from relevant points received on “The Voice” communications.

Everyone can follow this program on the Facebook page, “The Voice of Emmaus” and everyone can listen and communicate with us. Any sharing from us and from those who contact us remains private. A team of volunteers meet on regular schedule as a team of “The Voice” to evaluate the communication and answer to the different reflections and comments needed or to the requested guidelines and sometimes suggesting links that anyone can find on google for a better information and formation on the different points raised.

From those who communicate with us. We hope that “The Voice” will be for many a sign of hope in this ‘new normal” that we consider also a new challenging time.

Yes, we need to find ways to build a more human world where we welcome and accept differences of cultures and religions and rediscover that we are one human family and we are , as Pope Francis presented well in the last Encyclical letter “Fratelli Tutti” one human family. Yes, what is happening in the world today is alarming. For this reason, we have to be a sign of hope with our life.

With this spirit, we invite you to join us and promote our new initiative of the “The Voice” that you will find on FB page, “The Voice of Emmaus.”.
